Peel and Chop two over-ripe pineapples into small pieces .

Use a juicer or a blender to extract the juice. If using a blender, blend the pineapples and squeeze out the juice using a clean cheese or muslin cloth into a clean jar.

Mix well to combine, do not add sugar or any sweetener.

How to make homemade sugar free pineapple jam.

In a large pot ,add the pineapple juice and bring to boil on medium high heat. Lower the heat to medium and continue heating as you stir.

By this time it should start forming bubbles, stir until all the bubbles disappear. Lower the heat to low and add agar agar powder a little at a time while stirring continuously until it thickens.

Remove from heat, add honey or any sweetener and continue to stir until it cools well and thickens . Transfer the jam in a clean glass jar, cover with a tight fitting lid and store in the refrigerator.

How long can this jam stay fresh in the refrigerator?

This jam can keep fresh for up to 6 months if stored well in the fridge. Make sure you cover the jar with a tight fitting lid.

Can you use crushed pineapples to make this Homemade pineapple jam?

Yes ,you can use crushed pineapple. Just make sure the pineapple are very ripe and remember to remove the core.

Homemade Sugar Free Pineapple Jam

Description

Would you like to make your homemade sugar free pineapple jam? With only three ingredients you can make this inexpensive jam at home.


Ingredients

2 Cups of pure pineapple juice (do not add water)

1/2 cup of pure raw honey

1 teaspoon agar-agar powder or 1/2 teaspoon Grass fed gelatin for none vegans.


Instructions

1.Pour pineapple juice into a clean saucepan and bring to boil on medium heat.

2.Reduce the heat to medium-low stirring often until all the bubbles disappear. This will take about 10-15 minutes.

3.Lower the heat to low, then add the agar agar powder or gelatin powder. Stir thoroughly until the mixture starts to thicken or turn into a syrup-like consistency.

3.Remove from heat and add honey. Mix well to combine.

4.Let cool a little while stirring for about 5 minutes. Transfer into a clean glass jar and let cool completely  (will take about 30-45 minutes) 

5.Serve with bread or as desired.

6.Cover with an air-tight lid and store in the fridge for later.

 

Notes

This jam can stay fresh for at least 6 months if stored in an airtight container in the refregirator.
