How to make healthy and delicious Vegan Homemade whole grain waffles that are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.



1 ¼ cup whole wheat flour

¾ cup oat flour

1 ¼ cup plant milk

2tbsp coconut sugar

2 ½ baking powder 

½ cup apple sauce unsweetened 

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Olive/grape seed oil for greasing the pan.


1.In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: wheat flour, oat flour, baking powder, coconut sugar, and salt. Mix well and set aside,

2.In another bowl, mix the wet ingredients- maple syrup, milk, apple sauce, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract. Set the mixture aside.

3.Add the prepared wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until they are well combined and get the desired consistency. Please do not make it too runny or too thick.

4.Spray your waffle maker with spray oil and add in the batter. Let your waffles cook until it beeps, and leave them for a minute for a nice crisp texture.

4.Cook until all the batter is used up and serve. Top with some fruits and syrup.

5.You can freeze the leftover waffles for later.
